A year ago I was lying on the floor of an empty apartment in Ireland, unable to breathe. Divorce, panic attacks, antidepressants. Therapy helped β€” once a week. The other 6 days I'd open an AI chat just to get the thoughts out of my head. It didn't replace my therapist β€” but it filled the void between sessions. I built MindBridge so that void wouldn't be so unbearable for anyone.

MiraHealth anxiety
i've been having tingling in my left chest. for two days now. i'm scared it's my heart. google says it could be a heart attack
M
Tingling is unsettling, I get why you're scared. Have you been checked out before? ECG, anything?
yeah like six months ago. ecg, echo, stress test. everything was normal
M
Full workup six months ago β€” all clear. And now you're googling heart attack symptoms. Notice: you're trusting two minutes on Google over THREE medical tests. That's not logic β€” that's anxiety looking for confirmation. Quick check: does the tingling change when you press on it? When you twist? Heart pain DOESN'T depend on position or pressure. Muscle pain does.
i mean yeah it hurts more when i press... but what if its still my heart?
M
Stop. Let's look at what's happening in your head right now. The event β€” tingling in your chest. A fact, neutral. Then your brain generates a thought: "it's a heart attack, I'm going to die." And from THAT THOUGHT β€” not the tingling β€” comes the fear, the panic, the 3am googling. But here's the question: what's the evidence it's your heart? Not the feeling β€” actual evidence.
well... tingling in my chest
M
And against? Three tests came back normal. Pain changes when you press β€” heart pain DOESN'T DO THAT. You're 30 and physically active. See? One "evidence" β€” a sensation. Against it β€” three medical facts. But anxiety takes one sensation and turns it into a death sentence. That's called catastrophizing β€” and it's lying to you. The problem isn't your heart. The problem is you can't tolerate uncertainty. "What if" isn't a question β€” it's an anxiety habit. And googling isn't checking, it's a compulsion that MAKES the fear worse.

Grow between sessions

Why I built this

I've been anxious my whole life β€” I just didn't know there was a word for it. Sweaty palms behind the wheel, fear of phone calls, inability to tell people close to me what I feel. I thought everyone lived like that.

Then everything collapsed at once. Divorce after 10 years. Alone in Ireland β€” no friends, no family. Panic attacks, ambulances, cardiophobia. I was convinced I was dying β€” every morning, every night.

A doctor prescribed antidepressants. I found a therapist. It got better β€” but therapy is 50 minutes a week. The other 10,030 minutes I was alone with my fear.

One night I opened an AI chat. Not because I believed in it β€” but because there was literally nobody else to write to. And it asked the right question. Not 'rate your mood from 1 to 10' but 'what specifically scares you right now?' I let it all out. And it got a little easier.

That's when I understood: between sessions, people don't need a CBT textbook. They need someone who'll listen at 3 AM and won't say 'just don't think about it.' I built that someone.
